Full Description

Relax in the verdant tranquility of the Scottish Borders from Little Swinton Holiday Cottages. Surrounded by the rolling Scottish countryside, these delightful period stone, single storey farm cottages are the perfect base from which to discover the magic and mystery of the Borders region.

Situated in a very peaceful location far from the stresses and strains of modern life, Little Swinton Holiday Cottages comprise of three charming and spacious self-catering holiday cottages; each with it’s own character and essential home comforts for you to enjoy during your stay.

Choose from The Courtyard, Cotoneaster Cottage and Honeysuckle Cottage. Cotoneaster and Honeysuckle are located together in an attractive terrace, and have plenty of space outside for guests’ vehicles and children to play in safety. Well-behaved pets are welcome in all the cottages. The Courtyard is a new addition to the cottages, and is very luxurious. Standing adjacent to the farmhouse, it has its own drive with private parking and magnificent views of the countryside.

Less mobile and wheelchair bound guests will be delighted to note that The Courtyard and Cotoneaster Cottage are fully adapted for wheelchair users, with specially designed bathrooms plus a wheel-in shower with handrails.

Naturally all of the cottages are well presented and lovingly maintained by your host Sue Brewis. Golf, walking, cycling, riding and fishing are all available near by.  Discover more of the features of these lovely self-catering holiday cottages on our Accommodation page.

The majesty and grandeur of the region brings visitors from around the globe to experience the history, battle sites, natural beauty and day-to-day quality of life in this tranquil corner of the British Isles. Travel to and from the region is very easy with a multitude of transport options: The international airports at Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle provide domestic and international travel; while the railway station at Berwick-upon-Tweed is the closest stop to the cottages on the mainline east coast London King’s Cross to Edinburgh line. Local bus routes also operate in and around the region, with a main terminus at Berwick-upon-Tweed. Travelers to the cottages without cars will find local taxi services in Berwick, Coldstream, Duns and Kelso.
